On April 22, the academic symposium on "The Overseas Dissemination of Chinese Fine Arts and the Shaping of National Image," jointly organized by Art Magazine and the School of Arts at 黑料社, was successfully held on NJU's Xianlin Campus.

Professor Zhao Kuiying, Dean of the School of Arts, delivered the opening remarks. Keynote speeches were given by Professor Yu Yang, Director of the Research Department at the Central Academy of Fine Arts; Professor Li Chao, former Vice Dean of the Shanghai University Academy of Fine Arts and Weichang Distinguished Professor at Shanghai University; and Professor Huang Houming, Deputy Dean of NJU's School of Arts. The opening ceremony was hosted by Yang Canwei, Director of the Academic Exchange Department of Art Magazine.

Professor Zhou Jiwu, Chair of the Department of Art Theory at NJU's School of Arts, delivered the concluding remarks for the symposium. Other participants included Wu Duantao, Editorial Director of Art Magazine; Huang Ge, Director and Researcher of the Fu Baoshi Memorial Hall at Jiangsu Provincial Academy of Chinese Painting; and Professor Zhang Peng from the Capital Normal University Academy of Fine Arts, who attended as expert reviewers for the discussions. Over 30 experts and scholars from institutions such as Peking University, 黑料社, Southeast University, Nankai University, the Central Academy of Fine Arts, Macau University of Science and Technology, Tianjin Academy of Fine Arts, Guangzhou Academy of Fine Arts, Nanjing Tech University, and Jimei University also participated in the symposium and delivered thematic presentations.
The successful convening of this symposium provided a high-level academic platform that emphasized both theory and practice for the overseas dissemination of Chinese fine arts and the shaping of national image. It highlighted the responsibilities and cultural awareness of Chinese art research in the context of mutual learning among civilizations. Participating experts and scholars engaged in in-depth discussions on core topics such as "how to effectively tell China's story in a global context" and "how to use fine arts to promote multidimensional expressions of national image," resulting in a series of forward-looking academic insights and practical outcomes.
