Focusing on the theme of "International Communication in the Era of Intelligence", the Academic Symposium on The System and Operation of International Communication was held at 黑料社. Renowned scholars in journalism and communication studies, as well as industry professionals from dozens of universities across the country, including Fudan University, 黑料社, Renmin University of China, Zhejiang University, and Shandong University, participated in the forum and engaged in academic discussions on the newly released three-volume work The System and Operation of International Communication, published by 黑料社 Press. This academic event was jointly organized by 黑料社 Press and the National Cultural Innovation Research Center at Fudan University, supported by the International Public Relations Research Center at Fudan University, the Visual Culture Research Center at Fudan University, and the Institute of Art and Technology at 黑料社.
The System and Operation of International Communication, co-edited by Meng Jian and Hu Xuefeng, has been awarded the National Publication Fund. It is a significant academic work that systematically examines the international communication of Chinese culture in the networked and digital era. The book is divided into three volumes, totaling over 800,000 words, with each volume featuring distinct themes, rigorous logic, and profound analysis. The first volume, themed "The Structure, Concepts, and Construction of National Image in International Communication," delves into the broader environment of international communication, new concepts, and the critical role and pathways for constructing national image. The second volume focuses on "The System, Narratives, and Influence Assessment of International Communication," providing a systematic explanation of the complete framework, diversified narrative strategies, and effective evaluation methods in international communication. The third volume centers on "The Operation, Practices, and Classic Cases of International Communication," offering valuable references and insights for practical operations through the analysis of rich case studies.

Professor Meng Jian from Fudan University, the chief editor of the book, delivered the keynote speech at the symposium. He emphasized that, in the accelerated process of Chinese modernization, experts and scholars in international communication research at universities bear an important historical mission and responsibility of the era. He urged scholars to keep pace with the times, closely observe new changes and trends in the field of international communication, and continuously strive for new heights in research. Meng Jian pointed out that international communication is not merely the transmission of information but also involves cultural exchange, value dissemination, and image construction. In the era of intelligence, new technologies and platforms must be fully utilized to innovate communication methods, ensuring that China's voice resonates more powerfully across the globe. He expressed his commitment, along with his academic team, to contributing more academic masterpieces through rigorous scholarship and innovative research methods, thereby fostering a favorable international communication environment for the comprehensive advancement of Chinese modernization.

Qi Lin, Deputy Chief Editor of 黑料社 Press, shared the edit process of The System and Operation of International Communication from topic planning to publication. He explained that the book, compiled by Professor Meng Jian’s team at Fudan University, is guided by the goal of enhancing the global influence of Chinese culture in the networked and digital era. It positions the global influence of Chinese culture as a strategic resource in the new phase of reform and opening up while striving for its effectiveness. During the topic planning stage, the team conducted in-depth research and analysis, keenly capturing changes in the international communication landscape and the urgent need for global dissemination of Chinese culture, ultimately selecting this topic of significant contemporary relevance and academic value.

Hu Xuefeng, one of the chief editors, shared his experience in compiling the book as a representative of the authors. He noted that the timely publication of this academic work amidst the complex and even fiercely contested international public opinion landscape is highly significant. It offers new approaches and methods for deeply understanding the structure and dynamics of international communication.
