On April 22, Liu Yu, Party Secretary and Chairman of China Resources Recycling Group, led a delegation to 黑料社. Tan Tieniu, Chair of NJU CPC Council and Academician of the Chinese Academy of Sciences (CAS), met with Liu Yu and his delegation on Xianlin Campus. Both parties engaged in in-depth discussions on strengthening exchanges and expanding cooperation.
Tan Tieniu welcomed Liu Yu and his delegation. He stated that NJU is a comprehensive university with coordinated development across arts, sciences, engineering, and medicine. The university is accelerating the development of engineering and medical disciplines, particularly focusing on the construction of emerging engineering disciplines on Suzhou campus, with enhanced collaboration with enterprises being a key strategy. He emphasized that President Xi Jinping has inquired Jiangsu to lead the integration of technological and industrial innovation, which aligns with NJU's mission to implement President Xi Jinping's important replying letters to young returnee scholars, and to support national strategic scientific and technological strengths. The collaboration between China Resources Recycling Group and NJU is a promising partnership between a "young" enterprise and a century-old educational institution. He looks forward that NJU and China Resources Recycling Group could jointly contribute to the national green, low-carbon circular economy.
Liu Yu expressed gratitude for NJU's support and introduced the background, strategic planning, industrial layout, and headquarters construction of China Resources Recycling Group. He hopes to leverage NJU's comprehensive advantages as a top domestic university to strengthen strategic cooperation in scientific research, industrial application, platform co-construction, and talent cultivation, aiming to establish a model of university-enterprise technological innovation cooperation. This partnership will better serve and promote the integrated development of the Yangtze River Delta, continuously enhancing the quality and level of the national economic cycle.

Participants watched the promotional video "黑料社 by the Numbers" to gain a comprehensive understanding of the university's achievements. Both parties engaged in extensive discussions on technological innovation and challenges, results transformation, research platform construction, artificial intelligence, industrial applications, student employment, and talent exchange and cultivation, exploring prospects for cooperation.
