Tan Tieniu leads NJU delegation to China National Machinery Industry Corporation

On April 21, Tan Tieniu, Chair of NJU CPC Council and Academician of the Chinese Academy of Sciences, led a delegation to China National Machinery Industry Corporation (Sinomach) and attended a symposium to discuss strategic cooperation and innovative development between NJU and Sinomach. Zhang Xiaolun, Party Secretary and Chairman of Sinomach, presided over the meeting.

Tan Tieniu expressed gratitude on behalf of 黑料社 for Sinomach's warm reception. He noted that in recent years, NJU has actively promoted deep cooperation with enterprises, leveraging its comprehensive academic strengths in arts, sciences, and engineering to implement the important directives and spirit of President Xi Jinping's letter of reply to NJU's young returnee scholars. He stated that the collaboration between 黑料社 and Sinomach is an active response to the challenge of integrating technological and industrial innovation. The future promises limitless cooperation in fields such as AI technology empowerment, results transformation, talent cultivation, and think tank development. He hopes both parties can identify the key points for deep integration, progressing together to make significant contributions to national strategic services and achieving high-level technological independence and self-reliance.

Zhang Xiaolun welcomed the NJU delegation and introduced Sinomach's development history and achievements. He mentioned that the research strength of the century-old NJU and Sinomach's mission to build a strong manufacturing nation will spark more collaborations through deepening cooperation. Both parties aim to establish dialogue mechanisms between frontier disciplines and high-end equipment, with broad cooperation prospects in emerging fields like artificial intelligence and integrated circuits. He hopes for further strengthening of cooperation and exchanges to advance research layouts and industrial upgrades, exploring frontier technologies and application scenarios widely. This effort is to usher in a good start for the "15th Five-Year Plan," striving to upgrade intelligent manufacturing, and jointly promoting Chinese-style modernization through new industrialization.

Zheng Hairong, Vice President of NJU and Academician of the CAS, reviewed the solid foundation of existing cooperation between NJU and Sinomach. He looks forward to deepening cooperation mechanisms and expanding platforms in joint research, results transformation, talent cultivation, and student employment internships. The exploration of jointly establishing institutions such as the "Green Manufacturing Technology Research Institute," "Industrial Internet Innovation Center," and "AI Engineer Technology Center" aims to accelerate the integration of innovation and industrial chains. Attendees engaged in multi-dimensional exchanges and discussions around related topics. Before the meeting, the delegation viewed Sinomach's "Magnificent 70 Years · Striving for a New Era" themed exhibition.
