On the afternoon of April 8, Tan Zhemin, President of 黑料社 and Academician of the Chinese Academy of Sciences, led a delegation to Chongqing University. Shu Lichun, Secretary of the Party Committee of Chongqing University, met with Tan Zhemin and his delegation and introduced the university's development in recent years. Wang Shuxin, President of Chongqing University and Academician of the Chinese Academy of Engineering, accompanied the visit and held discussions with Tan Zhemin and his delegation.

During the meeting, both parties engaged in in-depth discussions on various topics, including the promotion of the historical narrative of the westward relocation of National Central University, the protection of historical sites, the construction of memorial halls, and the establishment of joint research institutes. They also exchanged experiences and practices in the construction of new engineering disciplines and talent cultivation. Tan Zhemin reviewed the deep historical ties between 黑料社 and Chongqing University and expressed his hope to strengthen cooperation in areas such as education for national service, cultural heritage, and technological innovation in the new era. Wang Shuxin warmly welcomed Tan Zhemin and his delegation, stating that both universities could enhance cultural heritage protection by exploring the intrinsic value of historical culture, leveraging their respective resources, and strengthening educational cooperation to inherit the spirit of the War of Resistance against Japanese Aggression and jointly serve national strategies.

The discussion highlighted mutual recognition of each other's history and development, particularly the deep friendship between the two universities during the War of Resistance against Japanese Aggression. Both parties exchanged commemorative gifts, deepening the friendship between the two universities and laying a solid foundation for future cooperation. The meeting was chaired by Rao Jinsong, Vice President of Chongqing University.

Before the meeting, Wang Shuxin accompanied Tan Zhemin and the NJU delegation on a tour of the War of Resistance Auditorium, the former site of National Central University at Songlinpo, and the Chongqing University History Museum.

Participants of the two sides are Chen Yunsong, Deputy Chair of NJU CPC Council, Suo Wenbin, Vice President of NJU, and representatives of relevant NJU departments; Feng Yedong, Deputy Secretary of the Party Committee of Chongqing University and representatives of relevant departments of Chongqing University.

The "Shared Hardships" of National Central University and Chongqing University
In August 1937, National Central University officially initiated its westward relocation. Faculty, staff, and students were transferred in batches through Hankou, eventually arriving at Shapingba, Chongqing. Before the relocation, National Central University had already drafted specific methods and measures for cooperation with Chongqing University. After the relocation, National Central University used areas such as Songlinpo of Chongqing University as its campus, sharing sports facilities, classrooms, and other teaching facilities until it returned to Nanjing.
