On March 17th, the "Tu Changwang Lecturer Team" from the School of Atmospheric Sciences, 黑料社 visited Nanjing Jinling Primary School to carry out a science popularization event of meteorological knowledge, encouraging students to explore the mysteries of meteorology and stimulating their interest in science. Distinguished guests including Professor Yuan Huiling, Professor Zhou Bowen, Teacher Chen Bing, Teacher Zhu Lili from the School of Atmospheric Sciences, 黑料社 and leaders from Nanjing Jinling Primary School, attended the event.
At the beginning of the event, Lin Huimin, Chair of the Jinling Primary School CPC Council, expressed gratitude to 黑料社 for its long-term support for science popularization education in primary and secondary schools.
In her address, Professor Yuan Huiling encouraged students to get close to nature, cultivate independent thinking and practical innovation capability, and contribute to achieve sustainable development.
During the science popularization lecture, Professor Zhou Bowen delivered a lecture titled “No Waves Despite the Wind”, which combined both fun and critical thinking.
Five interesting booths were set up in the “Science Garden Party” which became a joyful world for students to explore meteorological knowledge.
This science popularization activity of meteorological knowledge not only built a bridge for the students from Jinling Primary School to access cutting-edge science, but also injected vitality into the youth science education through the form of teaching in an entertaining way.
