On May 21, the inauguration ceremony for Kuang Yaming Honors School Development Fund and the launch of the 40th Anniversary Alumni Donation Campaign was held at Kuang Yaming Honors School, 黑料社. Attendees included Feng Fan, Director of NJU Alumni Affairs and Development Office; alumni Lu Zhigang, Hong Hao, Hu Wei, Zheng Gang, the parents of alumnus Jiang Wenwei; Wang Jun, Dean of the Undergraduate School, Executive Dean of the College of First-Year Students, 黑料社, and Dean of Kuang Yaming Honors School, along with faculty and student representatives from the school. The event was hosted by Zhou Yuan, Secretary of the Party Committee of Kuang Yaming Honors School.

The ceremony began with the unveiling of the Kuang Yaming Honors School Hydrangea Garden, donated by alumni from the Classes of 1989 and 1990, and the graduation photo wall titled "Guided the Stars, Shining Southward".

On behalf of NJU, Feng Fan expressed heartfelt gratitude to the alumni of Kuang Yaming Honors School for their generous contributions. Wang Jun extended a warm welcome to all the leaders and alumni who have shown care and support for the School’s development. Zhou Yuan introduced the background, operational mechanisms, and usage plans of the Kuang Yaming Honors School Development Fund.
The school presented certificates of appreciation to the first group of donating alumni, including Lu Zhigang (Class of 1989), Hong Hao and Hu Wei (Class of 1990), Zheng Gang (Class of 2004), and the parents of Jiang Wenwei (Class of 2010).

Lu Zhigang, one of the first graduates from the school’s science honors program, shared that he has witnessed the school’s remarkable achievements in cultivating top-tier innovative talents over the past four decades.
Hong Hao emphasized that alumni are a vital force in school's development and that strengthening alumni connections helps pass on the "Kuang Spirit" across generations.
Zheng Gang, one of the youngest members of the NJU's Board of Trustees, pledged to continue supporting his alma mater and the school in talent development and other initiatives.
During an interactive session, alumni engaged in in-depth discussions with current students, offering insights on academic planning and career development based on their personal experiences and professional journeys.
