American Academy of Arts and Sciences as International (AAAS) announced the list of members elected in 2025. NJU alumni Yifang Wang and Donna Sheng were among the new members.

Yifang Wang (BA in 1984, Nuclear Physics of NJU), specializes in high energy physics, is an academician of the Chinese Academy of Sciences (CAS). Prof. Wang was awarded the 2016 Breakthrough Prize in Fundamental Physics.

Donna Sheng received her BA degree(1984) and PhD in physics from NJU, and she is now a Professor of Physics at California State University Northridge. Her research mainly focuses on theoretical surveys on two dimensional correlated electronic systems.

The AAAS has honored excellence and convened leaders from across disciplines and divides since its establishment in 1780. It is one of the oldest and most prestigious academic institutions in the United States.
